A Samsung or LG TV from 2023 or later may run Salah Point in its own browser. Older ones are too old: parts of the screen's code need Chromium 92 or newer. We have not tested any TV, so run the checks below before you rely on it.
Which TVs are new enough

From Samsung's table and LG's table, read 3 November 2026. They describe the engine for TV apps, and the browser can differ, so this tells you which TVs are worth trying. LG's page also says its stored cache is used only while the engine runs, so check the restart below.
Check your TV
- Open the TV's browser and go to
tv.salahpoint.com. It should ask which mosque to show. A blank page means this TV can't run it. - Open your link from Link and setup with internet, and wait a minute.
- Turn the TV fully off and on with the internet disconnected, and open the link again. Your times should return with a small "Offline" label. If not, this TV needs a device behind it.
- Leave it on for a day. Watch for dimming, a screen saver or a shutdown.
Settings to turn off
- Samsung: Auto Power Off, on by default, under Settings > General > Eco Solution on many models.
- LG: Auto Power Off after 4 hours, under Timers. LG's webOS video shows the apps and settings (LG Customer Support Europe, 8 minutes).
Menus differ by model year.
What stays awkward
A TV browser won't reopen your link after a power cut, a remote has no F11, and many TVs start on the last input, not the browser. A small device behind the TV solves all three: a mini PC or a PC or laptop. All devices: how to show prayer times on a TV.
