# How to show a notice on your prayer room screen

Put a notice on your mosque's screen as a line, on half the screen or on the whole screen, with a picture and dates if you want. What each place suits and when it stays hidden.

Open **Prayer room screen**, go to the **Messages** tab, choose **Add message**, pick the place, write it and save. With internet it usually reaches the screen at once, and it is stored there, so it keeps running offline.

## Three places

| Place | What it is | Limit | Fits |
|---|---|---|---|
| **Line along the bottom** | Short text stays still, long text runs across | Text only, up to 500 characters | A reminder for days |
| **Half the screen** | Your picture or words, with prayer times on the other half | Text up to 500 characters, picture up to 10 MB. Upright fits best. | An event poster |
| **Full screen** | The whole screen for a moment | Same. Wide fits best. | Something nobody should miss |

**Full screen timing:** every 15, 30 or 60 seconds, or 2, 5 or 10 minutes, for 5, 10, 15, 20 or 30 seconds. Half-screen messages take turns every 20 seconds.

## When it stays hidden

A full screen message shows only while waiting for the next prayer. It never shows at the adhan, at the dua after it, in the countdown to the iqama, during prayer, or in the last minute before an adhan. During a [dark screen](/resources/dark-screen-during-prayer), nothing shows.

## Dates

Set **From** and **Until** if you want. The last day counts in full. With no dates it stays until you switch it off. The screen checks dates itself, also offline.

## Good to know

- You can keep up to 20 messages.
- They show as written, in the language you write. The screen doesn't translate. For two languages, write both.
- A picture alone works on half and full screen.
- **What shows** also has your own line at the bottom, up to 80 characters.
- [Posts and events](/news) don't appear on the screen by themselves.
- Please don't type a Quran verse into a message. The library under **Quran, hadith, dua** has text from published sources, unchanged, with its source.

No screen yet? See [the prayer room screen](/mosque-tv-display), or [register your mosque](/register).
