# How to enter your own iqama and prayer times

Set iqama as minutes after the adhan or as a fixed time, type your mosque's own adhan times into the calendar, or import a whole year from a CSV file. What each option does and where its limits are.

Sign in, open **Prayer times**, go to **Calculation and iqama**, and choose for each prayer: none, minutes after the adhan, or a fixed time. For your own adhan times, use the **Calendar** view or import a whole year from a CSV file. The website and the screen then show the same.

## Iqama

| Choice | What it does | Fits when |
|---|---|---|
| **None** | No iqama shows for this prayer | You don't announce one |
| **Minutes** | 0 to 180 minutes after the adhan, moves with it | The gap stays the same |
| **Fixed time** | Same clock time every day | Iqama stays at 13:30 whatever the adhan does |

- A fixed time can't be before the adhan. With iqama at 22:00 and adhan at 22:35, it shows 22:35. Check your summer dates.
- A fixed time stays put when the clocks change. Minutes move with the adhan.
- It is one rule per prayer, not per date. Change the rule when the season changes.
- On Fridays the first Friday time is Dhuhr's iqama. See [multiple Jumuah times](/resources/multiple-jumuah-times).

## Adjust a calculated time

Each prayer has an adjustment from -60 to 60 minutes. It suits times a steady number of minutes from a [calculation method](/resources/prayer-time-calculation-methods).

## Type your own times

Open **Prayer times**, then **Calendar**. Tap a time, type over it and save. Clear it and the calculated time returns. Adjustments don't touch a time you entered. Iqama rules still apply.

## Import a whole year

1. Under **Import a whole year**, download the template.
2. Fill it in Excel. Columns: `date`, `fajr`, `sunrise`, `dhuhr`, `asr`, `maghrib`, `isha`. An empty cell stays calculated.
3. [Save it as CSV](https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/import-or-export-text-txt-or-csv-files-5250ac4c-663c-47ce-937b-339e391393ba) and choose the file.
4. Read the preview. Nothing saves until you confirm.

| | |
|---|---|
| **Accepted** | Times like `05:03`, `5:03`, `5.03`, `0503`. Dates like `2027-01-31`, `31.01.2027`. Up to 800 days and 1 MB, from last year to two years ahead. |
| **Blocked** | Times out of order, and times the clocks skip that day |
| **Warned** | Over 45 minutes from the calculation, or about an hour off (often a forgotten clock change) |
| **After midnight** | Maghrib or Isha before 04:00 means the night after that date |

The CSV holds adhan times, not iqama. After the last entered date, calculated times return. The dashboard warns when under 30 days remain. Check that a calendar's publisher allows you to import it.

To hand out times on paper, use **Print the timetable**. See the [Ramadan guide](/resources/ramadan-timetable). Not registered? [Register your mosque](/register).
